Mucuna pruriens - is an adaptogenic herb. It has antioxidant and neuroprotective properties that benefit a healthy body and mind. It has been suggested that Mucuna pruriens promotes elevated levels of growth hormone (GH) in the body. GH is very involved in the synthesis of sex hormones, in particular by regulating the transport protein that controls the cholesterol uptake by mitochondria in Leydig cells (stAR - transport protein). This is an important aspect as it is the rate-limiting step in testosterone synthesis. Thus, mucuna pruriens not only helps increase testosterone levels by stimulating LH, but can help maintain the changes required for its synthesis by increasing GH levels.

Tongkat ali - is a herb believed to be responsible for increasing male sexual desire and sex hormones, found mainly in Southeast Asia, believed to lower SHGB levels (as in the case of Divanil®)

Pedalium Murex - The herb is believed to have aphrodisiac properties, used in India. The study also showed significant increases in testosterone in rodents - which lasted for several days after discontinuing the use of the extract.

Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) - Cholecalciferol is also known as Vitamin D3. It is actually a precursor to the hormone of the body's active form of D3, called calcitriol (1,25-hydroxyvitamin D3). While some D3 can be provided from the diet (fish, cheese, or fortified milk), most of the D3 comes from the sun. Ultraviolet light from the sun reacts in the skin with a type of cholesterol (7-hydrocholesterol) to form D3. D3 is then converted in the liver to 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (calcidiol), which is then passed on to the kidneys, where it becomes 1,25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (calcitriol). Most people don't get enough D3 from a balanced diet, nor do they go out as often as they should. Combined with the winter period (where there is no sun), a D3 deficiency becomes a problem.
